Welcome to Adventure Racing in Ontario, Ontario's on-line community forum adventure race club.
The purpose of this site is to give adventure race enthusiasts a one-stop, easily accessible, resource for their entire adventure race needs. This site will contain a calendar for all adventure races in: Ontario, Canada, North America, and possibly even the world. We will have links to all of the important adventure race websites including race organizations, training companies, gear retailers, general information sites, and more. Race directors will be able to utilize this site to inform and update potential participants about their races. Participants will also be offered a venue to share their race experiences and reveal race details to the other ARIO members. A category will also exist for ARIO members to review race equipment and attire. If you're not sure what backpack to purchase, post the question on this site for answers from experienced racers. This site will also allow the opportunity for AR enthusiasts to meet and connect with other like-minded individuals. Here is your chance to put a team together or simply locate training partners and schedule group trainings.
To help reduce confusion and to facilitate the ease of which people can meet one another, we have regionalized the website. For individuals in southern Ontario, you are encouraged to join visit the Toronto pages. For those of us in Ottawa, eastern Ontario and western Quebec, we will primarily patronize the Ottawa sites.
Please be advised that although this site is currently up and running and functional, it is still under construction and development. We intend to drastically increase upon the current level of input from our members. In the near future, you all will be able to post photos, add your own links and events, as well as other possibilities. Please be patient and be assured that before we pull our road bikes out of winter storage, this site will be 100% complete and fully accessible.
